Laboratory support built around the care team
Meridian Regional Diagnostics supports ordering providers and their staff across the laboratory workflow. Our approach combines practical onboarding, clear testing information, specimen coordination, responsive assistance, and secure reporting so clinical teams can spend less time navigating laboratory processes.
Onboarding and account setup
We collect the provider, practice, billing, and contact information needed to review the relationship and establish an ordering workflow.
Test-selection resources
Our team can provide the current testing menu, specimen requirements, collection guidance, and other operational information needed before an order is submitted.
Specimen coordination
Meridian helps practices understand collection-material needs, labeling expectations, transport procedures, and issues that could delay or prevent processing.
Support throughout the testing process
Authorized practice staff may contact Meridian with questions about test availability, order status, missing information, specimen acceptability, reporting access, or delivery of a finalized result. Questions requiring laboratory review can be routed to the appropriate team member.
Accessible assistance
Clear points of contact help office and clinical staff obtain assistance before collection, while an order is processing, and after reporting.
Connected LIS reporting
Once a result is reviewed, finalized, and released, Meridian’s laboratory information system can transmit the report to a configured provider destination within seconds, depending on the receiving system and connection.
Expected PCR turnaround
Most PCR testing is expected to be completed within 24 hours after Meridian receives an acceptable specimen.
Privacy-conscious communication
Meridian directs protected health information through authorized workflows and approved communication channels. Providers should not send patient information, laboratory results, or other protected health information through ordinary email or a public website form unless Meridian has expressly approved that channel for the information being transmitted.
